Alibaba Employee Switches to Delivering Food: Going Downhill is Also a Way of Life
People strive to climb higher in life, but choosing to go lower is also a way to pursue life.
A while back, I saw a story.
The blogger @小派一家在努力 (Little Pai and Family Working Hard) revealed that he used to be an Alibaba employee and now delivers food in a small town.
He started working at the tech giant Alibaba back in 2008.
Later, he quit to start a cross-border e-commerce business, opened an agency operation studio, and worked for several other major tech companies, reaching management positions.
However, the long hours and high-pressure work led him to develop moderate depression and rapid weight loss as he approached forty.
With his wife’s support, he decided to move back to his hometown county with his family to “take it easy.”
Now, he spends his days at home with his kids, does some food delivery on the side, and edits videos before bed. He doesn’t earn a lot, but the stress is much lower, and his days are busy yet fulfilling.
